Bambi is a rat!

So, I hate deer now. They are all just giant rats and Walt must have been out of his mind when he wrote Bambi. Let me explain...

Each day after work we walk down to the garden to check the progress, see if anything has actually broken ground yet or if any of our tiny green tomatos have started to turn red yet. Well, sad news. Yesterday we went down and there were giant deer tracks everywhere. The stupid rats ate almost every stalk of corn and bean/pea bush it could find. I still don't understand how a deer can tell the difference between a tiny corn stalk and the grass blade right next to it. All of our hard work and sunburns have gone to waste now! Its so disappointing. We have learned from our mistakes though. Next year we'll put up a fence that is high enough that they can't jump over. My suggestion was less expensive...we need a dog! A big one. That hates deer as much as we do.

Another idea is to shoot the rat-Bambis.
